THIS HASH IS:R*n #887 of Sir Walter's Hash House Harriers
What's the Word: The [insert creative, witty name here] hash
When: Sunday, August 29. Meet at 4, pack off at 4:30.
Where: Somewhere in Knightdale. Kind of like around the intersection of Ferdinand Drive and Kingman Drive.
Hare(s): Slippery Slot and Sorry F***
D-erections: You might be able to find it on a mapping tool by putting in the intersection of Ferdinand Drive and Kingman Drive. But since it's always much more fun to follow Slippery's d-erections that is the recommended method of getting to the hash. Take either 440 or 540 to US-264/64. If you've taken 440 to get there, then go East on 264/64. If you've taken 540, go west on 264/64. Go to exit 422, Hodge Rd. Take that exit. If you were going east (i.e. cumming from the west, i.e. like if you are cumming from 440), turn left onto Hodge Rd, drive across the bridge over 264/64, then turn right onto Old Faison Rd. If you were going west (i.e. cumming from the east, i.e. like if you are cumming from 540) , go to the light at the end of the exit ramp, and go straight through onto Old Faison Rd. Go 1.3 miles, then turn left onto Churchill Glen Blvd., left onto Twin Spires Dr., right onto Ferdinand Dr., follow Ferdinand Dr all the way to the end, which will be the intersection of Ferdinand Dr. and Kingman Dr. (if you turn left, you will also find an intersection of Ferdinand Dr. and Kingman Dr, but it is the wrong one and you will not find hashers there. Except for the ones that followed the original directions). When you get to the intersection of Ferdinand Dr. and Kingman Dr., look for hashers. You'll probably see them. Unless they all followed these d-erections.
Dogz: Yes, but please keep them on leash. We will be near some busy roads.
Baby Joggers: Nope
Hare Notes: I'm not sure if we are hashing unhashed territory or not, but neither of the hares have hashed in the area so that should be good enough to get us lost. The trail will be moderately long and moderately enjoyable. There will be moderate amounts of shiggy and wetness. This should be a moderately good trail (don't expect any greatness... we are hashers, after all). But all that doesn't really matter, since there will be beer. Oh, and there was evidence of beaver in the area.
Oh, and maybe bring your cups to drink from.
Oh, and if you are lost or have any special requests, call Slippery Slot at 919-594-1640. You can also call Sorry F***, 919-604-8502. He may be better at d-erections and stuff. But he can't show you the beaver.
